Touring Skis Salomon Qst 98 Ski

The Salomon QST 98 is a brand new ski for the 2021-2022 season!  The QST 98 replaces the QST 99 and still has the general characteristics of the QST line- versatility and conformability without sacrificing the fun factor. For the 2022 season, the QST 98 comes equipped with more rocker in both the tip and tail, giving it a smaller turn radius and a more approachable sidecut for versatility.  Turn initiation made easier! This is an especially big boost off-piste when you encounter deeper snow. There’s a reason it’s a household name- the QST family is the ultimate treat on snow and makes no compromises or sacrifices in delivering a high performing all-mountain ski.  With a poplar woodcore, Salomon has kept the carbon powered C/F Carbon Flax Weave that brings both dampening and stiffness to the table.

The new Salomon QST 98 has a slightly shorter 17m turn radius at a 183cm length and is noticeably more forgiving than its predecessor. With titanal inserts underfoot, Cork damplifiers in the tips of the skis, and strategic rubber pads throughout the ski; you’ve got yourself a a full sandwich ski with durable ABS sidewalls. In many ways this is a 98cm waisted version of the new QST Blank.  Many folks requested more soft snow ability in the 95-100 waist width range, and in the end, Salomon found a way to improve that performance without compromising on firm snow.

The 2022 Salomon QST 98 comes in four lengths from 167cm to 188cm which means no matter who you are- you’re accounted for!
